Position Title: Scheduling Rep

Locations: Hammond, IN 46324
Anticipated Start Date: 04/07
Expected Duration: 3 Months (i.e 13 weeks)
Job Type: Contract with possible extension
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Central Time)
Pay Rate $21.50/hr. on W2
Need: Min 1-2 years in scheduling or patient access


Job Description:
Client is seeking Scheduling Representatives to join the Central Scheduling department. This role involves scheduling radiology procedures and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced call center environment.


The Scheduling Rep oversees patient scheduling for appointments and outpatient testing, procedures, and exams. This position has a solid understanding of insurance eligibility, performs updates and corrections for insurance information, and evaluates the medical necessity of procedures for Medicare patients. This position works closely with insurance verifiers to authorize scheduled patient services and keeps up to date documentation on patient accounts and eligibility. The ability to Compassionately engage in conversation with patients on their responsibilities for Copayment, Prepayment and Outstanding Balances.


Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Experience: 1-2 years in scheduling or patient access
• Certifications: None required
• Technical Skills:
  • Experience with Epic EMR
  • Familiarity with radiology scheduling (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Neuro)
  • Proficiency with Laptop, Jabber, and Finesse systems

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced call center environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
