Job Description

We are seeking a CE Facility Support Engineer - Mechanical 3 to join our team at a mission-critical data center campus. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mechanical systems operation and preventative maintenance in critical environments and a proven ability to execute SOP-driven tasks safely, support vendor activities, and maintain uptime.

Two Resources will be working A-side day shift, Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday.

Two Resources will be working B-side day shift, Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday.

Responsibilities:

• Provide escort to third-party contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and service providers on site.
• Perform rounds and initial assessments on equipment performance under supervision.
• Monitor maintenance and operations of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment with supervision.
• Execute visual or non-intrusive preventative maintenance tasks per SOPs.
• Perform single CRAH preventative maintenance and AHU filter replacements.
• Conduct eyewash and duress button preventative maintenance.
• Perform humidifier preventative maintenance and respond to VESDA alerts or supervisory notifications.
• Adhere to safety procedures and comply with physical security policies during all work.
• Follow operating procedures and SOPs for planned work activities in critical environments.
• Support fire alarm preventative maintenance and generator PMs (quarterly and annual).
• Assist with RTU HVAC, industrial chiller PMs, and fire pump/fire alarm PMs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous data center experience.
• Experience with mechanical systems in high-availability or critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of work or applied learning experience in technical fields such as automotive, electrical, controls, or data center operations.
• Able to work flexible schedules including 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, and varying work weeks.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with RTU HVAC systems, industrial chillers, and fire pump systems.
• Familiarity with VESDA monitoring and alarm response.

Supplier-Provided PPE Required:

• Feet: Lace-up steel or composite toe boots that cover the ankle, have slip-resistant soles, and meet ASTM F2413-05 specifications.
• Head: Type 2, ANSI Z89 approved hard hat or helmet.
• Eyes: ANSI, CE, or EN approved safety glasses with side shields.
• Hands: Level 5 cut, abrasion, and impact-resistant gloves.
• High-visibility vests.
• Ears: Multiple-use ear plugs.
