Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to support the Independent Price Verification process within Global Markets. The role will develop, enhance, and maintain applications across a Python, Angular, REST API, and Oracle stack using the proprietary Quartz platform.

Project: Granite Valuation Control

The position offers exposure to a dynamic environment and collaboration with senior stakeholders within the Bank of America Global Markets CFO Group.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop object-oriented software in Python using the Quartz platform and object-oriented databases.
• Build and maintain grid-computing workflows for high-volume data processing.
• Develop data transfer tooling to replicate data from NoSQL datastores to Oracle Exadata.
• Design and implement RESTful web services and define UI-to-API integration contracts.
• Build data-grid-centric UIs with Angular (15.x or later).
• Participate fully in the software development lifecycle and Agile ceremonies.
• Contribute to test-driven development, functional testing, and continuous integration practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of overall technology experience.
• 6-10 years designing and developing in an object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or C#.
• 3-5 years of professional Python development.
• 6-10 years designing and tuning SQL schemas and queries, preferably on Oracle.
• Experience with data replication between NoSQL stores and relational databases.
• Proficiency building RESTful services and integrating Angular front ends with APIs.
• Exposure to grid computing and high data volume processing.
• Experience with Git and npm; Angular 15.x or later is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile practices including pair programming and daily stand-ups.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience across multiple languages and technologies, especially C++/Java and Python.
• Experience with test-driven development, functional testing, and CI pipelines.
• Relevant finance or banking experience in middle/back office domains.
• Knowledge of the Independent Price Verification process.
