Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to join our AML CP Application initiatives. The candidate will work on Teradata and ETL technologies to refine data models for customer and account data through sourcing, development, and ongoing enhancements. The role will focus on building robust data pipelines, optimizing SQL, and ensuring report accuracy in production environments.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document reporting requirements.
• Analyze data sources, structures, and business rules to support reporting.
• Design, develop, and optimize Teradata SQL and BTEQ scripts.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT logic within Teradata and Informatica/IICS.
• Create and manage tables, views, macros, and stored procedures.
• Tune queries for performance including AMP usage, indexing, and partitioning.
• Support production jobs, perform troubleshooting, and resolve data issues.
• Conduct validation and functional testing of reports against requirements.
• Perform root-cause analysis for discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
• Prepare deployment packages and follow change management processes.
• Publish and schedule reports in production with proper access controls.
• Document solutions and perform post-deployment validation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong Teradata development with SQL and BTEQ.
• Hands-on ETL experience with Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica IICS.
• Shell scripting for data processing and automation.
• Job scheduling and monitoring with Autosys.
• Proven experience validating reports and ensuring data integrity.
• Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in AML or financial crime data domains.
• Knowledge of data modeling for customer and account subject areas.

Role Structure and Coordination:

• Point of contact: Team lead, on-site and offshore teammates.
• Role does not involve direct client interactions.
