Sr Project Manager (Transportation) BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Sr Project Manager (Transportation) for a Position in Minneapolis, MN. Position Title: Sr Project Manager (Transportation) Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid) Anticipated Start Date: [08/15/2025]Please note this is the target date and it is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date. Expected Contract Duration: (6 Months) Job Type: Contract Pay Range: $65- $75/hr. Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). [JOB DESCRIPTION]We are currently searching for an experienced Sr Project Manager (Transportation) to join our team to support Transportation Initiatives. The Project Manager should have a minimum of five years of experience supporting and managing large-scale projects and programs. A natural leader, this person should have strong talent for project coordination and delegation. The project manager should be motivated by a desire to collaborate, coordinate, and drive project success from inception to completion.
What Will You Do?
* Collaborate with business leaders to develop a project plans: understand key initiative milestones, interdependencies across various initiatives and the related enterprise or external communications required
* Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance
* Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and other assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for initiatives
* Manage project teams, ensuring program goals are reached
* Accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
* Work with other program/project managers to identify interdependencies, dependencies, risks, and opportunities across projects
* Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce status reports for managers and stakeholders
What Experience Should You Have?
* A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience supporting and managing large-scale projects and programs
* A bachelors or master's degree in business or a related field
What Experience is Highly Preferred?
* Project Management Certification in PMI or other methodologies, Change Management certification in Prosci or other, and Lean Six Sigma certification and/or experience are highly desirable
* Advanced knowledge in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
