Job Description

We are seeking a Shipping Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in sample handling, shipping and receiving, hazardous materials packaging, and inventory control and a proven ability to execute accurate, compliant shipments while maintaining safety and documentation standards.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and pack R&D samples, including hazardous materials and temperature-sensitive materials.
• Process international and domestic shipments, including documentation and compliant packaging.
• Receive samples, packaging components, and office supplies for the shipping hub.
• Manage packaging materials inventory and place supply orders.
• Monitor sample inventory received at the Sample Shipping hub and report discrepancies promptly.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and appropriately.
• Perform daily shipment track and trace.
• Support Business Shipping and Campus Receiving departments as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 0-2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or related operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and act as a self-starter.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge or experience with warehouse and inventory systems and concepts.
• Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and temperature-controlled shipping practices.
